Sydney Speed Dating
Speed Dating is the latest craze taking the world by storm and has now made its way down under to Sydney… The reason why Speed Dating is rapidly growing in popularity is that it takes the time and awkwardness out of dating (15 dates in just over 2 hrs!!). Perfectly suited to our busy lifestyle, this is an idea that is growing throughout the entire world at a rapid rate. It’s fast, it’s fun, and it’s guaranteed to work!
This new way of meeting people is designed for single, busy professionals who are tired of the traditional dating methods that haven’t worked for them in the past. Speed dating has advantages over all of the traditional dating methods; the pub/nightclub scene, blind dates, internet dating services or even introduction agencies which can prove to be quite time consuming and expensive.
Here’s how: Let’s say you’ve registered with us and we’ve notified you by email of an upcoming event. You arrive at the venue around 7.30pm. Once there, you’ll probably like to take a few minutes to relax and settle in while enjoying a complementary drink - and discreetly ‘checking out’ your fellow speed daters as they arrive! (We invite an even number of single and eligible bachelor and bachelorettes to each Sydney Speed Dating Event - usually around 15 of each). Around 8pm, you’ll be briefed on the night’s procedures by your friendly host, before the ‘”Speed Dating”‘ begins. Here goes……
Guys and girls are paired together at individual tables and Round 1 STARTS. You now have exactly 7 minutes to get to know one another! After 7 minutes a bell will ring and your first date is officially OVER - there’s no time wasting here! You then decide if you would like to see that person again and mark your card with either a ‘Yes’ or a ‘No’.
The guys then all move on to the next table before starting another 7 minute ‘mini date’ with a different girl. Approximately halfway through the evening we all take a short break to allow all the electricity in the room to settle and everyone’s pulse rate to return to normal, followed by more dating until you have seen and met every single bachelor / bachelorette. Exciting, or what?!!
At the end of the night you hand your card back to the host, for subsequent MATCHING.
Matching
A ‘match’ occurs when two people have both ticked ‘Yes’ to each other on their Sydney Speed Dating scorecards. We will contact everyone the very next day to pass on the details of their matches. The rest is up to you!
At least making that first phone call will feel a lot more comfortable knowing that the person you’re calling is genuinely keen to get to know you better. It’s a ‘Win-Win’ situation!
