Glass Baby Bottles
Glass Baby Bottles are a popular type of feeding bottle for a baby. They were extremely popular in the early part of the 20th century as plastic was not invented as yet and it was able to hold the child’s food. Once plastic was discovered, there was a switch from plastic to glass bottles, to the point where plastic is the more popular format. However glass bottles are making a return due to many different factors.
Glass Baby Bottles are gaining popularity again due to some new studies that have been published. The studies showed that many of the plastic Polycarbonate bottles contain a trace toxin, bisphenol-A. Bisphenol-A. The risk to humans is unknown but it is still la scary thought that this is getting into a child’s body. As a result of this many people are going back to glass bottles, not only for the safety but also for their practicality.
Many people do not like glass baby bottles because of the safety aspect of them. Glass feeding bottles are very easy to break or chip. If a shard or splinter from one of these bottles should get into a child’s food, it could be very disastrous. It can also chip or damage a child’s tooth, if they bite down on the lips of the bottle
